The Zhost cable makes it possible for the Zaurus to act as a host as well as a client – so not only can you connect it to the PC, but you can connect peripherals such as mass storage devices, cameras, keyboards and even a mouse. If you have one or more of these devices, just give it a go. We can't guarantee that it will work, but it's worth a try.
The most useful of these is probably using a mass storage device as a backup or a convienent way to transfer files between a PC and the Zaurus. See “Copying files to and from a USB mass storage device” for more details.
Most digital cameras either support Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) or allow you to access the camera as a mass storage device. While the Zaurus doesn't support PTP, it does support USB mass storage, as the host. So, if you have the Zhost USB cable for your Zaurus and a USB cable for your camera, then just plug each one into its device and connect the cables together. (See “Copying files to and from a USB mass storage device” for more details on file transfer. See Chapter 8, Accessories if you haven't got a Zhost cable.)
