In the Setup Podcasts applet you can define which podcasts to subscribe to, how much to download and where they will be stored.
You subscribe to podcasts by adding the casts' RSS: for example
http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/rmhttp/downloadtrial/radio4/inourtime/rss.xml
will subscribe you to the BBC Radio 4 programme In Our Time.
By using the folder command you can specify where the podcasts will be downloaded. For example, if you include
folder /mnt/card/podcasts
all subsequent downloads will be stored in a podcast folder on the SD card.
You can limit the amount that is downloaded by using the threshold command. So, for instance,
threshold 45
means "don't download anything beyond this point if it means filling my disk up more than 45%".
If you have the following in your podcast settings:
http://poddy.podpod.com/pod.rss threshold 90 folder /mnt/card/podcasts http://poddy.podpod.com/pod.rss http://poddy2.podpod.com/pod.rss http://poddy3.podpod.com/pod.rss
this will download the first podcast to internal memory, but only if there is 80% disk space free (these are the defaults). Subsequent downloads will be stored on the SD card unless or until it gets to 90% full.
