For any PDF document you want to review, if it's not already on your Zaurus, copy it on. You can then either launch QPDF from the Home page or go to the file in the Files tab.
When QPDF is started it searches for all available PDF files and provides a list for you to select from. Tap on the file you want to read or press Tab and then use the Up and Down keys and Enter to select a file.
QPDF was not designed for the Zaurus so the Menu key doesn't work; you'll have to tap on the menu items instead.
- Go to a page
Just type in the page number and press Enter
- Find some text
Just type in the text and press Enter. Press Enter again to search for a further occurrence of the same text.
- View Buttons and selecting text
There are three view buttons at the righthand end of the menu bar: PDF, Text and Notes. In PDF view, text selection is toggled by tapping either on the button itself or in the document window. When text mode selection is on an "I" appears on the PDF view button.
- Creating a note
You create a note by tapping on some selected text in PDF or Text mode. Then tap on the yellow highlight to switch to Note view and enter a note.
- Note navigation
From the Note view you can jump to text referred to by a note: put the cursor on the note and switch to PDF or Text mode.
When you have finished creating your notes, go to the File Home page tab and you will see a text file with the same name as the document you have been reviewing,but with an .xml extension. This file contains your notes.
