To insert the battery, first unlock the battery cover by moving the small switch on the underside of the Zaurus to the left. Then slide the battery cover towards you as indicated by the arrow. Insert the battery correctly as shown in the diagram inserting the battery, replace the cover and move the switch to the right to lock the battery cover. (This is important – the Zaurus will not switch on unless the battery cover is locked.)
