Podcasts allow you to subscribe to radio programmes and get them 'delivered' (the receiving computer actually retrieves them) to a computer. For more information see a BBC article. The BBC is currently doing a podcast trial: see BBC podcast trial for more information.

As the Zaurus has an MP3 player you can use your PC to receive Podcasts and then copy the casts to your Zaurus. We have also included a simple script on the Zaurus that enables you to receive Podcasts directly to your Zaurus when you have an Internet connection.

Podcasts that you subscribe to are defined in the file podcast settings in the Music_Files folder. We've included a few feeds as samples. If you want to change or add to this file you can either go to Setup Podcasts on the Settings tab of the Home page or edit it in the Text Editor application or any other text editor. If your Zaurus is connected to your PC it might be easiest to edit the file directly from the PC.

To download podcasts tap on the Get Podcasts icon on the Applications tab of the Home page. You'll then be asked whether you wish to start the download.
